About CaloNote
CaloNote is an AI-powered food diary and health app by NomioAI. This website offers 110+ free health tools — calorie, nutrition, fitness and body-composition calculators plus an interactive 3D body visualizer — in 42 languages.
Every tool runs directly in your browser, is free, and requires no sign-up. Our goal is to make evidence-based health numbers easy for everyone to check and understand.
Who runs this site
CaloNote is built by NomioAI, a small independent software team. We make a mobile app that logs meals from a photo, and this website grew out of the calculation layer behind it — the same formulas the app uses to estimate energy needs, body composition and training load, made available for free and without an account.
We are engineers and product people, not clinicians. That shapes what we publish: we are careful with arithmetic and explicit about mechanism, and we hand off to a physician or registered dietitian wherever a decision depends on your individual medical situation.
How we decide what a number is
Every figure we publish comes from one of three places, and we say which one on the page:
- Food and nutrient values come from USDA FoodData Central. When a value varies by brand or preparation, we say so rather than publishing a single number as if it were universal.
- Calculator formulas are named on the tool page — Mifflin-St Jeor for BMR, Deurenberg for body fat estimation from BMI, and so on — so you can check the assumption rather than trust the output.
- Physiological claims are cited to a named study or a public health body, listed at the bottom of the article.
What we will not do
We do not publish a claim at a confidence higher than the evidence supports. Nutrition writing has a habit of turning a modest, conditional finding into a headline mechanism, and we would rather lose the headline. Where a popular claim is weaker than it sounds, we say that in the article itself — including when it undercuts a food we are otherwise recommending.
We also do not publish personalized medical advice, treatment protocols, or claims that any food or tool diagnoses, treats or prevents a disease.
Corrections
If a number here is wrong, we want to fix it. Email support@calonote.com with the page and the figure in question. Substantive corrections are made in the article body and the page's update date is changed so the revision is visible rather than silent.
How this site is funded
The tools and guides are free. The site is supported by the CaloNote app and by display advertising. Advertising has no influence on which foods, methods or products we cover, and we do not accept payment for coverage or for placement inside an article. We do not run sponsored posts.
Medical disclaimer
Everything on this site is general information, not medical advice. The calculators produce estimates from population-level formulas and will not fit every individual. Nutrition and training needs change with age, medication, pregnancy and existing conditions. Talk to a physician or registered dietitian before making significant changes, particularly if you manage blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease or an eating disorder.
