    Roll your body over the ball to enter safely

    Lie down in front of the ball, place your stomach and thighs on the ball, and place both hands on the floor. At first, place the ball wide between your shins. The area in contact with the ball is large and the support point is close to the center of the body, making it easy to control left and right shaking. Once you get used to it, you can move the ball a little closer to your ankles, but this doesn't guarantee the same number of repetitions because your hand position and body angle will also change.

PLANK ALIGNMENT

The swing of the ball is controlled by keeping the ribs and pelvis level, not by bending the lower back.

Rather than tucking in your abdomen, let your ribs rest on your pelvis without holding your breath, and tighten your hips and thighs to keep your legs as one long lever. When one leg presses harder on the ball, the ball rolls to the side and the pelvis rotates. Align both ankles and lightly bring your thighs together. If you continue to drift to one side, move the ball toward your shins and start again with fewer repetitions than a regular pushup.

Spread your fingers wide and press the base of your thumb and index finger into the floor. As you descend, your elbows will move diagonally back about 30–60 degrees from your torso, rather than being fully extended at shoulder height. Make sure your elbows follow just above your wrists and that both shoulders drop at the same rate.

As your feet get higher, your weight distribution may shift towards your upper body, so don't force yourself to do the same number of reps as you would with regular push-ups. If your shoulders rise towards your ears or your neck first goes towards the floor, end the repetition and move the ball to a more stable position.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Fix the cause of a mistake, not just its appearance

The ball rolls to one side

What you see
As you repeat, only one foot or shin remains on the ball and your pelvis rotates.
Likely cause
The pressure on both legs may be different, or the support surface may be too narrow by placing the ball close to the toes.

At the bottom, the upper arms are spread out to the sides nearly 90 degrees and the front of the shoulders are pressed.
