Pace Converter
This converter switches a running pace or speed between the four units runners use most: minutes per kilometre, minutes per mile, kilometres per hour and miles per hour. Enter a treadmill speed to find your outdoor pace, or convert a per-kilometre target into per-mile for a race abroad. Choose what you are converting from, type the value (pace as decimal minutes, so 5.5 means 5:30), and get all four equivalents at once.
Running pace is the time to cover one kilometre or mile; speed is distance per hour. 1 mile = 1.609 km, so a per-mile pace is always a larger number than the equivalent per-km pace.
