Yards to Meters Pace Converter
Swimming in a yard pool but training to a metre goal — or the reverse? Enter the distance you swam, choose yards or metres, and add your time, and this converter returns your pace per 100 metres and per 100 yards plus your speed. Use it to compare short-course-yards times with metre standards, set splits when you travel, and read any swim set on the scale you think in.
US pools are usually 25 yards while most of the world swims in 25 or 50 metre pools, so times are not directly comparable. One yard is exactly 0.9144 metres, so a 100 m pace is about 9.4% slower than the same effort over 100 yd. This converts a swim of any distance into pace per 100 m and per 100 yd plus speed, using pure distance scaling — real pool-to-pool times also differ slightly because of turns.
