Working out which plates to slide onto the bar mid-workout is slow and error-prone. Enter your target total weight and the bar weight, choose kg or lb, and this calculator shows the exact plates to load on each side using a standard plate set — biggest plates first, just as you would rack them. If the target cannot be matched exactly with available plates, it shows the closest achievable total and the small difference, so you can adjust or use micro-plates.

Plates shown are for ONE side of the bar; mirror the same plates on the other side. Standard sets used: kg = 25/20/15/10/5/2.5/1.25, lb = 45/35/25/10/5/2.5.
