Abagwedli nabasubathi be-erg balinganisa umzamo njengesikhala — isikhathi sokuhamba u-500 amamitha — hhayi imizuzu ngekhilomitha. Faka ibanga ogwedle kanye nesikhathi esithathile, futhi lesi sibali sibuyisela isikhala sakho /500 m, amandla alinganayo ngamawati namakhalori ngehora kusetshenziswa amafomula e-Concept2, kanye nesivinini sakho ngo-m/s no-km/h. Yisebenzise ukubeka okuhlosiwe kwesikhawu, ukulinganisa ukuhlola kwe-2 km, noma ukuqhathanisa amasekho e-ergometer ngesilinganiso esifanayo.

Abagwedli balinganisa umzamo njengesikhathi okuthatha ukugwedla u-500 m ("isikhala").
