DOTS-sakrekenaar
Gereelde Vrae
- What is a DOTS score?
- DOTS is a coefficient that scores powerlifting performance relative to body weight, so lifters of different sizes can be compared fairly. It multiplies your total by a body-weight-based factor, and it has largely replaced the older Wilks formula in many federations.
- How do I calculate my DOTS score?
- Enter your competition total (squat, bench, and deadlift combined) and your body weight, and the calculator applies the DOTS polynomial coefficient to return your score. The same formula structure is used for all lifters, with separate coefficients for men and women.
- Why use DOTS instead of Wilks?
- DOTS was developed to better reflect modern lifting data and to give a fairer comparison across body weights, particularly addressing perceived bias at the extremes of the older Wilks formula. A higher DOTS score indicates stronger performance relative to body weight.
