單步長度是從一隻腳著地到另一隻腳著地的距離;步幅則是兩步,也就是一個完整的步態週期。這些數值由身高估算得出:步行單步 ≈ 身高 × 0.414,跑步單步 ≈ 身高 × 0.65。實際步幅會隨速度、腿長與體能而變化,因此請把它當作一個起點估值——若要精確設定計步器或跑步機,請在已知距離上實測自己的步數。

How does the stride length calculator work?
It estimates your step and stride length from your height. Since taller people generally take longer steps, the tool applies height-based ratios for walking or running and also calculates how many steps you take to cover a kilometre.
How do I estimate stride length from height?
Enter your height and choose walking or running. The calculator multiplies your height by a typical ratio, around 0.41 to 0.45 for walking steps, to estimate step and stride length without needing to measure your steps directly.
What is the difference between step length and stride length?
Step length is the distance from one foot's heel strike to the other foot's heel strike, while stride length covers two steps, from one heel strike to the next strike of the same foot. Stride length is therefore about double your step length.
